Sug's Craftival Presenter FAQ'S

Sug is excited to welcome presenters back for Year 2 of Sug’s Craftival — now partnered with 4 By 4 Brewing for an even bigger, more vibrant experience. Last year’s Craftival was our very first, and thanks to the incredible response from both presenters and attendees, we’re thrilled to expand the event and offer even more opportunities for creators to share their skills, classes, and demonstrations with the community.

Below you’ll find answers to our most frequently asked questions from presenters. This page will continue to grow as we get closer to the event, so check back often. And if you have a question that isn’t covered here, please reach out — we’re always happy to help.

What kinds of classes can be offered?

Presenters are encouraged to offer engaging, hands-on workshops related to their craft.

Do I have to have a booth to teach?

Yes

Do I have to be a presenter to have booth or table?

No

How many attendees can my classroom hold?

15

How long will the class be?

1 hour

Where will the class be located within the craft show?

In an adjacent room

Can I find out how many people have signed up for my class?

Yes! Sign-up numbers will be shared with you approximately two weeks before the event. We anticipate most classes reach full or near-full capacity, and many attendees opt to purchase kits if offered. Upon request we can close registration.

Preparation & Materials

Will presenters need to bring their own supplies?

Glue guns, glue sticks, and scissors can be provided, if needed. You will need to provide any other materials.

How much setup time is allowed before the class starts?

10 minutes

Logistics & Promotion

How will the class be advertised to attendees?

Social media, event website, and flyers. We encourage you to share as well.

Can presenters collect attendees contact info for future marketing?

Yes

Will attendees need to pre-register?

It would be easier for the presenter so they know how many kits they need, but if the presenter agrees, and the class is not sold out, we could make it available for day of purchases.

Are photos and videos allowed during the class?

Yes

Payment & Compensation

Is there a fee to teach a class?

No

How will it work?

As a presenter, your class kits will be listed on our website, available for purchase by attendees. You set the price for your kit, and an additional $5 will be added to the total cost to cover our Shopify fees.

At the event, you will receive your payment from us, which will be the total amount collected for your kits, minus the extra $5 per kit added for processing fees.

This ensures a seamless transaction for attendees while covering necessary expenses, allowing you to focus on delivering a great class experience!

Technical & Support

Who should a presenter contact if they have tech issues or need assistance?

I will have a card for you with my contact information on it the day of the event.

What happens if a presenter cannot make their scheduled class?

If a presenter is unable to attend their scheduled class, we kindly ask for as much advance notice as possible. This allows us to inform attendees and make any necessary adjustments. We will refund attendees.
